Day 21

Because my goal was to work on non-kid pictures. . .you get this picture.

And because I think my kid is pretty cute, you get this picture.

Today I tried back-button focus and really like it! It helps with a crazy moving baby to have the auto focus and shutter release separate. . . .though I'm still adjusting to the change :) Thanks SO much for the tip Melissa! This is the link I read on it for anyone else interested! http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc/controller?act=GetArticleAct&articleID=2286

I love the wood pile. It takes me "back home." And of course you have to put the little cutie up there! :)

I really like the wood pile too. Makes me want to snuggle up to the fire. :) And of course I LOVE seeing your little guy because he is oh so adorable.
I'm so glad you like BBF! It's amazing with a moving child. Haha Now take that middle focus point (or one of the others if you toggle) and place it on the inside of the closet eye to you. It'll get those eyes tack sharp. It has to be the closet one because you'll get a better chance of getting both in perfect focus.

OH and sorry if I already told you that. I just wanted to make sure you got that great tip. Haha Mommy brain has not been treating me well. lol I seem to repeat myself a lot and leave two comments. Man, I think I need a nap! :)

Nice shots! I am somewhat stuck in the rut of taking just pics of my kids as well. I would shoot my wood pile but that would mean my husband would expect me to actually bring some back into the house with me!

Lovely. I like the DOF. And great kid shot. I love back button focus, too. I focus and recompose all the time, so it's a wonderful tool.
